Pressure altimeter is a highly refined aneroid barometer which precisely measures the pressure of the air at the altitude at which an aircraft is flying. In simple words, they indicate the feet of altitude instead of pressure. The pointers of altimeters are connected by a mechanical connection to a set of aneroid cells. These cells expand and contract with the changes in barometric pressure position the pointers accordingly. On the visage of the indicator there is a barometric scale which specifies the barometric pressure of the aircraft from where the instrument measures the altitude. If one changes the setting of the scale manually then one can see the changes in the barometric pressure also.

The pressure altimeters are known for providing high accuracy and have shown best possible performance for aerospace and airborne applications.

Depending on one’s need the user has the option to choose Counter pointer altimeter or Drum pointer altimeter which can give them the readings and output as desired by them.
